Flatmatch is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. Accounts found to belong to minors will be removed. Do not attempt to help anyone under 18 sign up.
No harassment
Do not send unwanted, repeated, threatening, or intimidating messages. If someone stops replying, respect that.
No discrimination
Do not exclude or target people based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age (beyond the platform's 18+ requirement). Preferences about lifestyle (e.g., non-smoking home) are fine; discrimination is not.
No scams
Do not ask for money, deposits, or personal financial information before an in-person meeting and a verified, signed rental contract. Do not link to phishing sites or payment forms outside recognised channels.
No impersonation
Use your real first name and recent photos of yourself. Do not pretend to be someone else, a landlord you do not represent, or a business.
No illegal listings
Do not post listings that violate Portuguese housing, tenancy, or short-term rental regulations, or that facilitate illegal activity.
No abusive or sexual content
No sexually explicit content, nudity, or content that sexualises flatmate arrangements. No violent, hateful, or graphic content.
Respectful communication
Be clear, honest, and kind. Answer questions about the place or about yourself truthfully. If you are no longer interested, say so politely instead of ghosting when you can.
Enforcement
Use the Report and Block tools if you see a violation. Our moderation team reviews reports and may remove content, warn users, or suspend accounts. Serious or repeated violations can result in permanent bans.
